IRVING, Texas, September 16, 2014 – Lightbeam Health Solutions announced today an agreement with Physician Direct Accountable Care Organization (Physician Direct ACO) to deploy the Lightbeam population health platform to help their physicians in providing better care while reducing costs.
Physician Direct Accountable Care Organization is the ACO operating entity of Oakland Physician Network Services (OPNS). The OPNS mission is to be the premier integrated health care delivery system in Southeast Michigan recognized by patients, physicians, providers and payers as providing the highest value in care and services. This mission fueled the creation of Physician Direct ACO. The Lightbeam Health platform will aggregate data, analyze it, and deliver actionable insights directly to the point of care. The insights enable physicians and other caregivers to facilitate better quality outcomes at a lower cost. OPNS providers will have access to the following components of Lightbeam solutions:
“Healthcare is changing. We are actively adapting to elevate care while reducing cost. One of our primary goals is enabling physicians with useful information instrumental in providing quality care while reducing cost. To do that, we needed an analytics solution that pools and sorts data from multiple sources; to make sense of it for physicians to use in caring for patients. Lightbeam is clearly the right choice”, said Rodger Prong, Executive Director for Physician Direct ACO.
“We are excited to support the Physician Direct ACO in elevating care and reducing cost. The Lightbeam platform is truly transformational because it does more than organize data. It will empower the Physician Direct Accountable Care Organization physicians with visibility to real-time insights that will help them provide a new level of patient care”, said Jerry Shultz, President of Lightbeam Health.
