World Class Data Management
Visibility: The Foundation for Population Health Activities
Lightbeam’s data management infrastructure automates the aggregation and normalization of clinical data from disparate EHRs and other sources, as well as claims data from payers, enabling the ability to analyze and share key data across members. This visibility is essential to population health management.
Lightbeam’s data management solution gives providers visibility into patient test results and past treatments and flags whether they received services outside of their practice or network, helping providers make informed decisions and direct healthcare resources.
Growing by the Billions
Providing a Solid Foundation
Our enterprise data warehouse (EDW) consumes and stores everything from discrete clinical, claims, social, and other data so that you have one central repository for all your patient information, regardless of the place of service.
Making the Complicated, Simple
Lightbeam automatically de-duplicates patient records that come from different sources through an extract, transform, and load (ETL) process that constantly runs in the background. Depending on your organization and the flow of data, we offer and MPI or EMPI, creating a source of truth so every patient has one, information-rich, record. Since you know your population the best, you can easily set the patient matching threshold.
We have developed a variety of attribution methods ranging from if the contract has a roster, to plurality of primary care visits. Whether by contract or by preference, you get to decide the attribution model applied to your patient population.
No More Disparities
By effectively unifying claims and clinical data, Lightbeam can help you revolutionize the way in which you manage your patient’s care and ultimately drive your ability to lower the cost of healthcare.
“Lightbeam helped us transform PCP engagement from care silos to care integration. We use the Lightbeam Patient Facesheet everyday to engage our providers and front-line staff for their quality initiatives.”

Don’t worry, we are more than HIPAA compliant
We have completed several third-party security assessments, including a HIPAA risk assessment, SOC 2 type 1 compliance, FISMA auditing, and external vulnerability assessments. The application is housed in SSAE 16 compliant data centers to meet HIPAA standards. Our firewalls include IPDS, logs are monitored daily by Lightbeam staff and all data is backed up and stored in an encrypted format.
Within our population health platform, we safeguard user access with client-defined password requirements. All data is protected and encrypted.
Role level hierarchy
Our population health platform supports multiple layers of hierarchy above the provider level. Not only can you drill down into information from a reporting perspective, but you can wrap security measures around roles. As you set up your custom environment, you can assign boundaries for data access around user roles, protecting information crossover and respecting data privacy.
